TransFARMation - member meeting

One of the main goals of the PlantEurope Network is to give our members the chance to connect and collaborate. In order to facilitate this goal we are holding regular member meetings.

Our meet & greet event from last September showed that members were interested in giving guidance to and supporting farmers wanting to leave conventional meat and dairy agriculture as well as to work without any animal inputs. Since a few of our members work in this area, this topic was chosen to create synergies and networking opportunities. In the one hour session the participants introduced their work, target groups and countries of operation before discussing their goals, hurdles and advice they would like to receive.

The group then worked on identifying collaboration potentials. They agreed that as a next step they would focus on finding overarching definitions of terms used in their work, such as vegan farming, biocyclic vegan farming and stock free farming.

To achieve this goal, the participants agreed to communicate more and work together in (regular) meetings in the future.

If you are looking to collaborate with other PlantEurope members, you can do so using the PlantEurope online community. The matchmaking space gives you the opportunity to share your needs or offer help and services. Those looking for inspiration can join the brainstorming ideas space and collaborate with others to create new and exciting plant-based projects.
