For the first official PlantEurope event, more than 50 members were invited to share their work and give valuable feedback for network goals and further expansion of the PlantEurope online community. 

Together they answered questions like: “What are your expectations/wishes of the PlantEurope Network?” or “What are the lessons you want to share from your journey?” 

The answers had one thing in common: The need for joint action by means of networking and exchange is high. Participants wished for joint action from many different organizations and highlighted this as a key lesson from their work in the past. 

Other topics discussed were potential ideas for future events, such as connecting farmers with stakeholders that can support them in the transition away from meat and dairy production. The PlantEurope project team will take input into account when planning the next panel discussions as well as smaller networking events. 

The participating parties were also interested in creating more community spaces in the PlantEurope online community. A members only space was created to give members of the PlantEurope Network the chance to exchange exciting brand-new project, research or policy ideas, while other spaces give anyone wishing to contribute to the plant-based lifestyle a chance to share their input. 

The PlantEurope project team is thankful for all attendees and is working hard to take the requested steps. With this action more pioneers can become connected and be even more successful together.
