The Network for Sustainable Food Systems aims to make an active and scientifically based contribution to the sustainable transformation of the food system. For this purpose, the network aims to
- Identify gaps in research,
- promote an open dialogue between scientists from different disciplines and with actors from the field,
- debate controversial issues with the aim of developing concrete solutions,
- communicating scientific findings relevant to action and decision-making to the general public, politics and business, education and civil society.
The network was initiated in October by various research institutes. In addition to academics, individuals and organisations from the field are explicitly invited to join the network. Those interested can contact the network's co-coordinator, Alexander Schrode, and learn more about the network's goals, contribution and opportunities.
